Job Purpose

Responsible for delivering a friendly and efficient customer service by creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for Restaurant’s (Solia Restaurant) customers, answering telephone calls, taking reservations and managing the efficient and timely seating of customers in order to maximize customer satisfaction and retain and attract new customers.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

F&B Hostess Activities

  • Provide excellent customer service to guests by Maintaining a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers at all times.
  • Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses to maintain a tidy dining area.
  • Open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant and Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.
  • Welcome and greet Restaurant’s guests and escort them to their tables ensuring guest’s comfort.
  • Provide guests with estimated waiting time and maintaining a professional, courteous attitude when confronted with hostile, impatient or irate guests.
  • Provide guests with menus, inform them of their server’s name and Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.
  • Maintain supplies of mints and toothpicks at the host stand and Clean menus of food and stains.
  • Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems.
  • Thanks guests as they leave and invite them to return and relay guest comments or suggestions to the manager on duty.
  • Respond to any questions about other Restaurant’s functions and services in a kind and proper manner.
  • Adhered to the ‘NCO’ (Neat, Clean & Orderly) activities for hygiene purposes and efficient cleanliness Up-sell additional products when appropriate
  • Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems.
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
  • Review supply expenses and communicate to F&B Operation and Store Managers.
  • Perform other duties related to the job as assigned by the Direct Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Females Only.

Educational Qualification

  • High School Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality or any related field.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the same or related field.

Language Skills

  • Proficiency in English and Arabic languages is a must.
